Environmental Due Diligence (EDD) assessment is a very simple and effective tool that can be used to identify and mitigate your commercial risks. Identifying, characterising and quantifying environmental liability (e.g. soil or groundwater contamination) will add value and thereby strengthen your position in any negotiations with the buyer or seller.
EDD is the process of assessing the environmental conditions of a property in connection with a property merger or acquisition (MA) so that investors are aware of the potential environmental liabilities.
